Over the course of the 2017-2018 season I analyzed every aspect of Skyline. I spoke with parents, players, coaches and even our regional chair. There was a lot of great feedback. The main focus was how can Skyline better serve players, families, and the community. So I am excited to announce some big changes to our programs from a new pricing structure to additional opportunities for our teams.

Skyline is not a large club nor do we plan to be. This is a good thing because it reduces our amount of overhead. Larger clubs in the area have to charge more to cover the cost of multiple full time directors, cover their facility costs etc. We know club volleyball is expensive. We know that families at times struggle with the cost. This year I am excited for the new pricing structure because I was able to SAVE YOU MONEY!!!!! The cost of our program has reduced quite significantly while still offering the same great coaching, programs, and even adding more opportunities. See the chart below for the 2018-2019 season.

PRICE COMPARISON
  2017-2018 2018-2019 SAVINGS
Competition $1,975.00 $1,595.00 $380.00
National $2,975.00 $2,495.00 $480.00

Skyline is a small club dedicated to the development of our players. Our coaches work hard to ensure that every player is on a path of growth. We don't just teach how; but more importantly, why. We want our players to compete at high levels playing the sport they love in a variety of environments. This is why we have added additional opportunities for our players to compete. Our competition season will add more single day tournaments after the WCPL dates as well as offer one travel event over President's Day Weekend in the Wisconsin Dells. A great opportunity for players to feel what it's like to compete in a large multi-day event similar to our National teams. As for our National teams we will be adding the AAU National Championships in Florida to our schedule. This is one of the largest National Championships offered and we are excited to be part of it.

Please share this information with friends and families and help continue to push the growth and success of Skyline.

After 8 months of hard work, dedication, and great competition the 17 National team put an exclamation point on their season with a third place finish at the Asics Junior Volleyball National Championships.  It marks the highest finish a Skyline team has earned in the 7 seasons we have participated in the event.

Not to be overshadowed, our 15 National team finish 9th overall. They too put in the hard work during the season to help earn a top 10 spot in the Gold Division.

We are so proud of both teams and their coaches! Thank you to the parents and players who trusted the process, put in the time, and supported us in Skyline's success. We can't wait for next season!

Skyline 17/18 Competition Win Gold Championship

By Bobby Hughes 03/22/2018, 9:30am CDT

After completing the Windy City Power League on Saturday and earning a 4th place finish in the White Division, the 17/18 Competition team had a chance for redemption on Sunday.

This motley crew of sophomores, juniors, and one senior entered the season as individuals simply working on improving their individual skills. They came to practice every week to work, learn, and have fun. As the season progressed the bonds and trust grew and every tournament day a new fire was lit. They would battle till the end never letting up.

As a coach my goal with my teams is to get to a point where they take control over their situation. Where I can sit back and simply watch great volleyball. This past Sunday we reached that goal. I could not be more proud of this group of young women who went 6-0 in the White Division Gold Bracket defeating the teams that beat us in league and ultimately winning the Championship!

Congrats to each of you as you got what you earned!
